OTC Markets proudly congratulates the 2021 OTCQX Best 50 – our annual ranking of the top-performing OTCQX companies from the prior calendar year.

This year’s list represents the breadth of companies trading on the OTCQX Market from established industries, ranging from resources and technology, to emerging and trending sectors such as gaming, cryptocurrency, and cannabis.

2021 OTCQX Best 50 Highlights:

The 2021 OTCQX Best 50 companies traded an aggregate $30.7 billion in dollar volume in 2020 and delivered to investors an average total return of 235%.

AcuityAds Hldgs Inc., (OTCQX: ACUIF; TSX: AT), a Canadian technology cross-trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange, earned its place as the number one company as well as the top performing international company on the 2021 OTCQX Best 50.  AcuityAds Hldgs Inc. is among 41 Canadian companies included in this year’s list.

Six companies from last year’s ranking made their second appearance on the OTCQX Best 50 list in 2020.  K92 Mining Inc and Teranga Gold Corporation’s inclusion in this year’s list marks their third consecutive appearance on the OTCQX Best 50.

The OTCQX Best 50 is an annual ranking of the top 50 U.S. and international companies traded on the OTCQX Best Market, based on an equal weighting of one-year total return and average daily dollar volume growth. Companies in the 2021 OTCQX Best 50 were ranked based on their performance during the 2020 calendar year. 

Jason Paltrowitz is Executive Vice President, Corporate Services at OTC Markets Group, where he is responsible for managing the firm’s international and domestic Corporate Services business. Drawing upon his expertise in cross-border trading and as a recognized proponent of Reg A+ and small company capital raising, Jason is an advocate for small cap issuers, start-ups, and entrepreneurial innovators working to alleviate the cost, time and complexity associated with being a public company. Prior to joining OTC Markets in October 2013, Jason was Managing Director and Segment Head at JP Morgan Chase responsible for the custody, clearing and collateral management business in the Corporate and Investment Bank division. Jason also held multiple senior management positions at BNY Mellon, most notably, as Head of M&A for the Financial Markets and Treasury Services Sector and 11 years as the Head of the Global Capital Markets Group in the Depositary Receipt Division. Jason currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Crowdfunding Professional Association (CfPA) and also served as a member of the Board of Directors at OTC Markets Group from 2008 – 2011. Jason holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Boston University and received his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.
