Trading in European Securities Increases by 15%

Q1 saw continued growth in international securities trading on OTC Markets, driven by increased investor interest and their ability to seamlessly trade these securities in US dollars during US market hours.

Q1 2024 vs. Q1 2023 Increases in Dollar Volume

  • 15.23% increase in trading of securities listed on a European exchange
  • 8.32% increase in trading of securities listed on an Asian exchange

The Top Securities by Volume Traded saw movement in Q1 2024 vs end of year 2023 with BYD Co. (BYDDY – home market exchange Hong Kong) moving up to the top five international securities. Tokyo Electron (TOELY – home market exchange Tokyo), Softbank Group (SFTBY – home market exchange Tokyo) and Rolls Royce (RYCEY – home market exchange LSE) moved into the top 15. OTCQX traded Roche Holding Ltd. (OTCQX: RHHBY – home market exchange SIX Swiss) remained a constant presence in the top five.
